Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. This page explains which ones we use, why we use them and how to change your choice.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Your choice comes first
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics and marketing cookies. We do not set them unless you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent, because the site cannot work properly without them.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site secure, make the contact forms work and remember your cookie choice. They are set by our website platform, WordPress.com, and by our cookie banner. The banner remembers your choice in cmplz_banner-status, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics and cmplz_marketing, kept for 12 months.
Analytics (only with your consent)
- WordPress.com Stats, from our website platform, counts visits and page views. It does not set cookies on your device.
- Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages are used and how people find the site, so we can improve it. Cookies: _ga and _ga_[ID]. Kept for up to 2 years.
Marketing (only with your consent)
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measures how our ads perform and lets us show our ads to people who have visited the site. Cookies: _fbp and fr. Kept for up to 3 months.
- LinkedIn measures how our LinkedIn ads perform and lets us show our ads to people who have visited the site. Cookies: bcookie, lidc, li_sugr, li_fat_id, UserMatchHistory and AnalyticsSyncHistory. Kept for between 1 day and 1 year, depending on the cookie.
These providers set their own cookie names and durations, and they sometimes change them. We keep this list up to date. If we start using another analytics or marketing tool, we will add it here and to our cookie banner before we use it.
Google Search Console
We also use Google Search Console to see how our site appears in Google search results. It does not set any cookies on your device: it reports on searches made on Google itself.
How to change your settings
- Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to accept or refuse each type of cookie.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block every cookie, some parts of the site may not work.
- Opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- Manage the ads you see in your Meta and LinkedIn account settings.
